Scottish Carp Group Waters Guide

Kinghorn Loch

Good News

The Scottish Carp Group section of the North Bank re-opens to SCG members on the 30th Oct 2010
Please note, the boat launch area is closed to angling permanently.

Near the small town of Kinghorn, this is a loch of aprox 22 acres which has a small existing stock of mirror and common carp to 20lbs+. The Loch was also stocked with mirrors and commons with an average weight of 5lbs in 2005 by the SCG, some of these fish are now
over the 20lb mark.
This water has the potential for being a big fish water in the future due to the rich nature of this water. The Loch also has stocks of roach, perch and pike into double figures. The SCG has exclusive access to a part of the north bank (the conservation area) The swims in the conservation area are marked with red posts and you must fish within these areas. A maximum of three rods is allowed. There are strict rules that apply to the conservation area (see rules section 13.15 onwards) Toilets are available.
