Scottish Carp Group Waters Guide
Craigton Pond, Fintry
This is a partly silted pond located about half a mile from the main Culcreuch Castle loch within the grounds of the same estate. It has a few naturally occurring brown trout, plus a small stock of carp that were introduced in the late eighties. Weed growth is very heavy and there is limited bank area available for fishing. Nevertheless, it contains some nice specimens and presents an interesting challenge for the angler who is prepared to travel light, keep a low profile, and stalk individual fish.
